Tabeel provides a range of services to the aged, including high and low residential care, respite residential and day care (click here for more information), serviced apartments (click here for more information) and independent living units.

Tabeel Lutheran Home, is committed to the provision of a quality ‘Ageing in Place’ service for residents. The home has 34 high care places, 42 low care places, seven serviced apartments, 21 independent living units (with a further 7 under construction) (click here for more information), and a day therapy centre. The meaning of Tabeel is "God is Good". Our purpose is to bring this "Goodness of God" into the lives of the residents of Tabeel. For over 50 years Tabeel has been doing this by basing their care for all residents on the Bible verse that encourages us... "to love God by loving our neighbour" in care and respect.

All residents in our care will be given the dignity and assistance to carry out their daily lives in the fullest possible means.

The day therapy centre offers residents and the local community a range of therapies including physiotherapy, occupational therapy, podiatry and recreational activities.

Tabeel applies the principles of the Eden Alternative (click here for more information) – an innovative dementia care model based on providing a homely, comforting environment. Staff are strongly focused on residents’ needs, and encourage variety and spontaneity in the daily life of the Tabeel community.

The home’s volunteer program (click here for more information) is an essential part of the operation and chaplaincy also forms an integral part of the care provided to residents.
