Australian Lutheran World Service (ALWS) emergency response is linked through the ACT Alliance (churches of many denominations around the world working together), and Lutheran World Federation operating in Haiti.

Lutheran Church teams were at work within minutes of the Haiti earthquake.

An ACT Rapid Response Team has been formed. Water and sanitation, hygiene kits and psychosocial counselling are key parts of the emergency response plan.
