We work closely with people with disabilities and their families to develop a suitable service response for each individual.

Depending on the person and location, services may include:

Employment Assistance

• Support to find and maintain suitable employment – this might be competing for a job in the mainstream workforce, a position in supported employment or through employment preparation or work experience.
• Individuals who can compete for mainstream employment are helped with career guidance, interview training, locating employment, on-the-job training and support, and negotiating award-based wages where applicable.
• Supported employment opportunities include working in service-operated business. Workers are employed in a supervised safe and supportive environment by the service, usually on an award-based productivity wage.
• Employment preparation involves training in a simulated work environment and may also include experience at off-site work environments. Training includes workplace health and safety, work ethics, workplace practices and responsibilities, valued status and how to be a volunteer in the community.

Life Skills

We work closely with people with disabilities to enable them to live as independently as possible, and to encourage and facilitate community participation. Our support includes teaching independent daily living skills such as using public transport, banking, enjoying recreation and social activities, cooking and maintaining accommodation.

Accommodation

We offer supported accommodation options for people with disabilities. These services aim to empower each individual to live a fulfilling life in an environment suitable for his/her needs.

Training and Education

We offer training and education for people with disabilities to provide them with opportunities and skills to join the workforce and participate in community life. The training focuses on personal development and building communication skills as well as training in work-related competencies in a simulated work environment.

Volunteer work programs offer individuals an opportunity to put work readiness skills into practice, enjoy social interaction and build networks in the community, all of which give them confidence and support to live as independently as possible.
