Disability support services

Our disability services support individuals to increase their independence and wellbeing. We work in partnership with clients and their families to provide tailored support.

The assistance we provide varies because programs are dependent upon individuals’ needs and where they live. The range of support options available across our disability services are listed below.

Employment assistance

  • Assisting individuals competing for mainstream employment with career guidance, interview training, locating employment, on-the-job training and wage negotiation.
  • Providing supported employment opportunities in a supervised, safe environment.
  • Securing volunteering opportunities so individuals can put their work readiness skills into practice, enjoy social interaction and build networks in the community.
  • Supporting individuals to prepare for employment through experiencing a real and/or simulated work environment. Training could include workplace health and safety, work ethics, workplace practices and responsibilities.

Life skills training and education

We work closely with individuals to empower them to live as independently as possible and be an active member of the community. We teach life skills such as using public transport, banking, enjoying recreation and social activities, communication, cooking and maintaining a place to live.

Accommodation

We offer supported accommodation options for people living with disabilities. These services aim to empower each individual to live a meaningful life in an environment suitable to his/her needs.
